My Collecting Journey 006

For the next few years, I would make a weekly pilgrimage to Club Street and the car boot man would be the first guy I look for. It started with $5 purchases, then $10 purchases, and progressively more. I am addicted aren’t I?


I vividly remembers the price I paid for the Satellite CTO set - 30 big bucks! Those were the days when a wanton noodle cost $1.20. And I forked out $50 for a used set of 1949 Silver Wedding. That was one of the final pieces of jigsaw to my collection. I was buying up sets after sets of used stamps.


It was around secondary 3 (?) when I started looking around for stamps dealers. CS Philatelic, Happy Philatelic and Funan Stamps were my frequent haunts…
